Christmas was so fun this year. Emily was so excited about everything, it really made the day so great. We woke up on Christmas morning and went down to see what Santa had brought us. Emily didn't realize that there were toys that were wrapped under the tree, all season she didn't bother the presents cause she didn't know what was inside them. As soon as she started unwrapping, she was off and running. Unwrapping anything she could get her hands on.

After opening presents at our house we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for more presents and yummy breakfast. Emily loved her new table for her playroom.

We had such an amazing day. Thank you to all our friends and family that we got to spend time with during the holiday season. We love having our families so close that we can share special moments with.

We Moved!

We moved to our new house over the Thanksgiving Holiday. We are so excited to be in our new home in such an amazing neighborhood. We have really been welcomed by everyone here. It's much bigger and has a great big backyard that we can't wait to play in next summer. Emily loves her new room and her own bathroom. Hudson is still getting use to things but seems to be doing great. We are excited to spend many years here. (More pictures to come!)

I took Emily for her first real haircut. She was a little nervous about the whole process. We even bribed her with Toy Story and M&M's but I still had to hold her. She was a good girl and held very still, as did I.

I can't believe how big she looks now. But I love her new style. She is very good about having me do it everyday too. I just love my big girl.

We took Emily to our neighborhood Trunk or Treat on Saturday. She didn't really enjoy wearing her costume, and opted to not wear the boots or hat for most the time, however once she realized they put candy in her bucket she was all about it. I think Halloween night will go over much better!!!

I can't believe Em is already 20 months old. Before we know it she will be two. She is so fun right now, learning so much everyday. She is talking more and more, and becoming very independent. She makes me laugh all the time. I love how she runs and always wants to hold my hand. She is a little dancer and already knows how to turn the ipod on to play music. Our little baby is turning into a little lady.

We had a lot of fun sibling bonding time this summer. We went to Lava Hot Springs in July and even though we all left with injuries we had an amazing time. It was so great to just get away and have a weekend to just have fun.

A few weeks later the four of us all went to Seven Peaks Salt Lake to celebrate Travis' birthday. We rode all the rides and luckily no one really got injured.

We finished off the summer with a day of golf on Labor Day.

It's so fun that we are all at an age now, that we can just go and hang out. I love my Fam!

When walking past Build-a- Bear at the mall the other day Emily saw all the bears and wanted to go in...after several failed attempts on Emilys part to run back to the store, Aunt hilary finally gave in and took Em to build a bear of her own. Travis, Emily and I had a great time at Tracy Aviary. I hadnt been for years and it was great to see how much it had changed and how many different types of birds there were. Emily called them all ducks, I guess we need to work on the word "bird."

I took Emily to Sugarhouse Park a couple weeks ago. She loved all the ducks. She would just stand there and watch them and clap her hands when they flew away. She is sneaking up on the ducks.

I took Emily to work with me the other day. My office is definitely not Emily proof! She had fun exploring and discovering all the things she shouldn't play with. Here she is watching Mickey Mouse, her favorite.

Emily just learned to drink out of a straw so she thinks she needs to drink everything that we have now. Once she got this drink I never got it back!

Easter

We went over to our friend Sarah and Alayna's house to dye Easter eggs. Emily just liked putting stickers on her eggs and then putting them in an empty cup! Whatever makes her happy! Emily actually got really sick Easter weekend and so all our plans were cancelled. The Easter bunny still came and brought her lots of fun stuff.
She tried to be a good sport and play with her toys she got, but she just didnt feel good. Poor thing.

We ended up celebrating Easter the next weekend, with an Easter Egg hunt and dinner at the Grandparents house. It was still great, even a week late!

Adventure Walk and First Time at the Park

I love that the weather is starting to get warmer and Emily can spend some time outside. She loves discovering new things. This past week we took our first trip to the park. She loved being big and following all the kids around the playground.

(She was actually enjoying the swing even though it doesn't look like it!)

The other day we went on an adventure walk around the neighborhood. Emily loved picking up all kinds of things, pine cones, sticks, flowers and rocks. It was so fun to see how excited she got while examining each item.

She was tired at the end and took a little rest on the porch step. It didn't last long and she was up and running again!

Las Vegas

Travis and I went to Las Vegas to celebrate my birthday and to just get away. It was a great weekend, even though it was a little cold and windy we had a great time. We stayed at the new Aria hotel. It was very nice. It had a very clean modern feel to it. I love seeing all the new hotels.

We went to the Cirque de Soleil show, La Reve at the Wynn hotel. It was amazing. I don't think I moved for the first 45 minutes because it was so intense. I'm so glad that we went to a show while we were there.

We spent the rest of the time, shopping, gambling, eating, walking and shopping gambling eating and walking some more....

We missed Emily but it was great to get away just the two of us.

A Love of Books

We had a really fun weekend. It started on Friday with a trip to the aquarium. It was so fun, I loved the penguins, they are just so cute. We then went to lunch and shopping with friends. It was a great girls day!

Travis and I also took Emily to the Murray Park Center pool. Emily loved it. She was so brave too. It was so much fun, I think we are going to go back for some swimming lessons this summer!

We had a little family party for Emily on Saturday. It was so fun. We had an Ice Cream Parlour set up and cake. (Sorry the pictures are so dark) The Ice Cream Parlour- Lots of fun toppings.

I cannot believe that it is already February. Our little baby is going to be one in two weeks. How fast did this year go? I feel like we were just bringing her home from the hospital. It has been an amazing year..not always easy, but amazing.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas, as always. This was Emily's first and she definitely made it so fun. I wasn't sure how she was going to handle the day, if she would be overwhelmed or just not interested. You would have thought she knew exactly what it was about. She was hyper and happy the whole day. She wouldn't even nap because she just wanted to play with all her new toys.

She has become so busy this last month. She is crawling everywhere, walking around the furniture and climbing stairs. She is learning and growing everyday.

Emily turned 7 months old.....two weeks ago. She is now 20 pounds and 27 inches long. She is almost crawling and becoming so busy everyday. She is still such a happy baby and loves just playing with her toys and reading books.

Lava Hot Springs

Travis' wanted to go to Lava Hot Springs for his birthday. He had been once as a kid and wanted to go again. We only went for a night but it was nice to getaway!

We tubed the river on Saturday. That was so much fun! Pretty wild rapids huh!

5 months...yea, already. I cant believe it either. Time is going by way to fast, and Emily acts way older then she is. She is already so independent and tries to act so big. None of that little baby stuff for her. She is so much fun right now and just makes us laugh all the time. We are going to the Dr. on Monday, I am excited to see how much she has grown in the last few months.

Emily was blessed on June 6th by her Dad. It was a beautiful day. So many of our family and friends came to support us. Emily did amazing and was so happy and cheerful all day, its almost like she knew that it was her day and everyone was there for her. The Easter Bunny came to our house on Sunday and you can see just how excited Emily was about her gifts! Hudson knew which bucket belonged to him...it must have had a smell because he ran right to it when he got up.

The Story

I promised that I would post about Emily's arrival so here it is:

I started having contractions the night before Valentines Day but it was nothing consistent and all day Sunday they were still there. By 9:00 that night we decided to go to the hospital just in case. I was already a week past due and was suppose to be induced that Tuesday, so we figured if they sent us home then it would just be a couple of days.

We got settled into the hospital around 10:30 and after an hour of walking they decided to keep us there. Luckily my Dr had just flown in from Hawaii and was on call that night. I decided to get an epidural when I was dilated at a 6 and about 20 minutes later it was already time to push. Everyone was shocked at how fast things went. The Dr was planning on delivering around 7:30 a.m. and she came around 2:30 a.m.

Everything went really great and was much easier then I was imagining. We were really lucky. Recovery was not bad at all and she has been a great baby. We are just now getting into a schedule and she has been sleeping about 6 hours straight for the past few nights. We did start her sleeping in our room but she talks so much in her sleep, no one was getting any rest, so since we moved her to her room and my mom and sister bought her a nap nanny, she has been sleeping great, and so have we!

We have had so many amazing people stop by, bring us dinner and gifts the last couple of weeks. We have felt very loved. Our families have been amazing as always and Travis and has been a great support for me. It was so nice to have him home for two weeks, and we miss him so much now that he is back at work. He is in love with his little girl and she already has him wrapped around her finger!

She is a real blessing and we are so lucky to have our Emily. We just love her so much already.

We are so excited to announce that Emily Clare Kaeding was born on February 15th! She was a big girl at 8 pounds 7 ounces and 21.5 inches long.

(I promise they are not kissing! But Hudson does love his new baby sister.)

I just wanted to post some quick pics for everyone and then do a big post later about everything.

The Nursery

As you can tell the room was originally Hudson's, he has now moved onto a bigger and better room. The nursery is almost complete, we still have to hang pictures on the wall once she comes. Also my amazing sister made all my crib bedding and is still working on the quilt and a few pillows. I wish you could all see it in person because she did a wonderful job. I owe her big time. Travis and my dad put a lot of hours into it as well, I wish I could have been more help, but at that point I was only good for supervising.

I love the room and cant wait for our baby to get here and enjoy it too.

Patiently Waiting...

We are all trying to be patient and wait for the baby to come, even Hudson, he loves laying in front of her crib. We will still see if that is a favorite spot when she is crying!

Baby Shower

My sister threw me the most amazing baby shower on Saturday. You can see that she decorated the house so cute. It really felt like a fairytale in a way. There was a great turnout and it was so fun to see people that I haven't seen for so long. It was just a really fun day and so nice to receive many of the essentials that we really need. Who knew babies needed so much stuff. I guess we are getting really close now, it still doesn't seem real. Hopefully one day soon it will really sink in.

The Countdown is On....

We only have a little over a month left until our baby girl is here. I cannot believe how fast these last few months have gone. We are busy getting everything ready, working on the room, (pics coming soon), having baby showers, buying the essentials and just getting ready for our lives to change. I know that this last month is going to fly by. We are excited as well as nervous. I have been very fortunate to have a fairly easy pregnancy which I am very grateful for. Lets just hope the rest of the time and recovery go as well!

Merry Christmas Eve

We are all very excited about Christmas tomorrow...even Hudson as you can see! I just love this holiday. I don't think you ever lose the excitement of waking up on Christmas morning, well at least I haven't. This Christmas will be amazing as always but we can't wait for next Christmas, because we will have our baby girl to spoil.

Be Thankful

I am thankful for so much in my life, its really hard to express my gratitude to everyone who has touched my life. At this time, I really want to thank my family, they have given me so much in my life, not just material things, but so much love, knowledge and wonderful memories. They have made me who I am today. I could not imagine my life without them, and hope to never have to. I am so thankful for my husband, he is truly my best friend. I love every minute that I am with him and how he always makes me laugh. I know that I married my sole mate. He has been so wonderful through this pregnancy. I love how protective he has become, and I love seeing his face when he talks about his daughter! He is already an amazing father. Our daughter is so lucky to have him. I am thankful for our baby, even though she is not here yet, I love her so much. I never thought that I would have such an attachment this early on, but she has already changed my life. I cannot wait to experience her life with her, to watch her grow and to watch her love others.

Thank you to everyone in my life. Thank you for loving me, for being there for me, and for making my life complete.

Halloween is always a favorite at our house.

As you can see, Travis loves to decorate the outside..

and I like to decorate the inside.

We had alot of trick or treaters...it was a good thing I had help answering the door.

Favorite Time of the Year

I love this time of year because there is a Holiday every month. Halloween is always a favorite, I have of course had my decorations up for awhile now, and can't wait for the kids to trick-or-treat at our house on Halloween, since we do have a pretty spooky graveyard out front. Thanksgiving isnt a huge favorite, but I am craving some Turkey about now, and some pumpkin pie! Then of course Christmas. Who doesn't love this holiday. I was just contemplating whether its too early to start listening to Christmas music...I'm thinking I'll at least give it till Halloween then I'll start.

I'm just so excited for all the Holidays.

Go Broncos!

We took our annual trip to Denver this weekend for the Broncos game. It was a very successful weekend, I got some good shopping in, the broncos won big and we didn't have to sit in the freezing cold or rain. We had a great time as usual, and as usual, it went way too fast.
